im just wanting to use waze when i know i will be able to drive spiritedly. its re routing when you go off route is nonsensical, and on my 2017 car no audible warnings on speed cameras when a route is not set which is stupid, and traffic updates are slow and inaccurate ime, but im only using waze for the extras it offers, like the police reports which are pretty reliable. Im no fan of the nav but its not unusable. I then have to disconnect and reconnect my device to get audio to play correctly again.

Everytime I decide not to follow waze's guidance, it plays this sound via Bluetooth and causes a Bluetooth spasm for any other audio apps currently playing content. its not gonna catch everything but if you drive a bit faster than the set limit on major roads when its safe occasionally it will help you out. All the navigation guidance is through my phone speaker except this stupid sound. Waze announced stationary car/or obstruction in road ahead as it was happening. This is how I fixed it: I had to toggle Play sound to phone. the alfa unit needs slight tweaks and i understand some have been done in newer cars but for a basic nav its ok.Ĭoming back from listening to Colonel Halt at Woodbridge on sunday i was at the front of a queue of cars on the a12 overtaken then held up by a marked police car starddling both lanes with its dot matrix saying do not overtake whilst an unmarked car stormed up and dealt with a car up ahead that we eventaully came upon (not sure what had happened (not an accident) assume a criminal being caught). I was just having a weird issue with Waze 4.59 where it wouldn't play any audio at all over my car's Bluetooth connection, despite Pandora working just fine, and all Waze audio settings correct (sound set to on, Waze and BT audio turned up, Play sound to phone speaker disabled).
